Hi guys so I have posted on the Basil plant and its benefit, but did you know that the Tulsi plant is actually a species of the basil plant, amazing isn't it!!!!! It is also known as the Holy Basil, because of it's  great healing power. It is apparent that this plant is native to tropical Asia. It is now regarded by most countries as an adaptogen (anti stress agent) and has been used to promote health throughout the body. So now for the great reveal. The benefits are: 1. Fight Acne 2. Helps Fight Cancer 3. Protects against Diabetes 4. Balance Hormones 5. Relieves Fever 6. Improves Respiratory Disorders 7. Good source of vitamin K 8. Good Dental Care 9. Relieves Headaches 10. Within the Caribbean this plant is locally known as Fever grass. It is shown below in the picture from my garden. Its the tall vertical, slender shrub. Hi, I have a few requests for plants that will strengthen the prostate. Hi guys, I know a few of you requested, how to make perfume from flowers. It's very simple and you can make it with any scented flowers in your garden. Just make sure you don't have any allergic reaction to the items you will be using.  You will need: 1. Scented Flowers 2. Rose water or witch hazel 3. Distilled water 4. Pot to boil in 5. Strainer 6. Spritzer bottle 7. Container (optional) Here's what you do, gather your flowers, the amount depends on how much you will like to make and the size of your bottle. Thoroughly wash your flowers and set them aside. Place your pot with the distilled water on the stove, on low heat. Place in the flowers and let it simmer till the aroma fills the air, then switch off the stove and let it cool. Pour the water through the strainer to remove the flower particles and into a container. Afterwards pour in approx two tablespoons of the rose water or witch hazel into the container, not much is needed, since this acts as a preservin...

As  your garden expands, you will notice a greater influx of birds, bees, flying and crawling insects. First impression these critters are going to damage your plants, then you start to plan your extermination process. Stop!!!! all insects aren't harmful to your plants and are beneficial for the pollination process which enables fertilization. Don't worry about them, they are there for a reason.  Below are some pictures of the creatures I found in my yard. The first image shows a Lacewings insect, both the adult lacewings and their larvae eat aphids, caterpillars, mealybugs, scales, thrips and whiteflies. Angelica, coreopsis, cosmos and sweet alyssum plants will bring lacewings to your garden. The second image, shows two baby black birds, they also contribute to the ecosystem.  They eat insects including  aphids, mosquito, spiders and other bugs and aid in the pollination process. Hi everyone, I hope you all got some advice on planting and used it wisely for Corpus Christi. In Trinidad and Tobago Corpus Christi is said to be a great day to plant. The local Agro store in my area was bubbling all day with customers. I also purchased some plants and planted it for the occasion. The first is a tomato  the second is a cucumber plant they both takes approx 5-6 mths to grow and bear. An important point to note, is the spacing between plants, take into consideration the projected size the plant will grow to and ensure there is enough spacing befor planting other plants close by. This is important because it can hinder the size of the the produce will grow to. The cucumber plants are planted close by, however,  these plants grow vertically and vine along the ground in any direction. Did you all plant, let me know?
